You try to eat healthy, exercise, maybe even meditate to de-stress. But still you feel fatigued or lethargic; can’t seem to lose those extra pounds; can’t get to sleep or stay asleep all night; and suffer from digestion issues or food allergies.

Toxic chemicals can occur naturally or be man made. Increasingly we are being exposed to a variety of toxins through our food, our drinking water, the air we breathe, the clothes we wear, the high-tech gadgets we use to make our lives “easier”, the cosmetics and hair dyes we use to “look beautiful”.
Meanwhile, according to the Center for Disease Control, cancer rates keep increasing, and are on target to surpass heart disease as the number one killer of adults. The rain-forests help to detox the planet, so how can you Detox Your Life for Better Health?

- The average newborn baby has 287 known toxins in their umbilical cord blood.
- The average woman puts 515 toxic chemicals on her face before she walks out the door each day.
- The FDA does not regulate any personal care products.
How Can We Minimize Toxins in Our Bodies?
Although the federal government may be too entwined with lobbyists, chemical companies, large corporations and big agribusiness to protect us, luckily many states are enacting laws to protect consumers from toxins.
How Can You Detox Your Life?
While you can drink detox juice drinks and take detoxing-supplements, I advise my health-coaching clients to start by eliminating toxins from their every-day lives first. Once you’ve stopped putting toxins onto your skin, breathing them in, cooking with them, storing food in them, wearing them, washing and drying your clothes with them, and eating them, then you can begin to eliminate the toxins already stored in your body.
