Recently a friend recommended the 2011 documentary film, “I Am”, and after watching the trailer I was significantly intrigued. So last night my husband and I watched this thought-provoking film, produced and directed by Tom Shadyac (famous for directing Ace Ventura, and Bruce Almighty among other Hollywood Blockbusters.)
After recovering from a serious brain injury, Tom Shadyac realized that there was much more to life than living the fast-paced, high-life in Hollywood. In this documentary film, he and a small group of filmmakers investigate how he as an individual, and we as a race, can improve the way we live and walk in the world, and in turn, improve the world and this planet that we call home.
This remarkable non-Hollywood documentary film asks tough questions, and offers no easy answers as it presents even familiar phenomena in completely new and different ways, relating quantum physics to our daily lives. Tom interviews David Suzuki, Noam Chomsky, and Desmond Tutu among other sages, exploring the idea of cooperation vs. isolation in human behavior.
I highly recommend everyone human on the planet see this amazing film (available on Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus and Netflix)… Once you’ve watched it, please leave a comment with your thoughts.
